Shirley is a dog rescuer, Founder of Paw Society Dog Rescue, dog trainer, and dog enthusiast. While she finds herself yearning to help every single dog in need however, she understands the realities and limitations of her efforts, which only fuels her determination to change the way people perceive dog ownership. It starts with the humans. She wishes to educate and take the time to build and strengthen the relationship of dogs and their owners. Shirley recognizes that many people get dogs without the necessary knowledge, skills, time, or experience to properly care for them. This unfortunate reality contributes to the overwhelming number of dogs surrendered, abandoned, and thrown into the shelter system. As a passionate dog rescuer, Shirley’s mission extends beyond merely finding homes for the pups in need but she is committed to ensuring that once adopted, that the dogs STAY adopted despite the despite the inevitable challenges that arise because at the end of the day, we all want what’s best for everyone involved. You are the one who has to live with your dog so train them in a way that benefits you AND them.

Shirley has worked with dogs with extensive behavioral issues and analyzes, evaluates, and trains shelter dogs. She has shadowed many different dog trainers to learn more about different styles and methods of training to apply to her training style and balanced training methods.
